The following provides a detailed classification of excess-rain-sensitive, deficit-rain-sensitive, and positively rain-sensitive industries based on the literature review and empirical investigations as outlined in my paper When Rain Matters! Investments and Value Relevance (with Koirala, S., Thapa, C. and Nupane, S.) - Journal of Corporate Finance (2021).

Indian Listed firms - the files contain dummy variable for excess-rain-sensitive, deficit-rain-sensitive, and positively rain-sensitive listed Indian firms. Dummy variable is 1 if the firm is rain-sensitive and 0 if it is not rain-sensitive. CSV file STATA file [note these files are based on firms for which ISIN is available. A larger sample i.e, 5,639 non-financial firms listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd (BSE) or the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. (NSE) is used in Rao et.al (JCF forthcoming) which uses co_code from CIME Prowess database.]
